On April 29, exhibition and presentation center "Yerevan Expo" opened the 20th Anniversary International Specialized Exhibition "Education-Career Expo 2021", which was supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of RA. The annual exhibition was attended by more than 80 schools, colleges, universities, training centers, as well as international donors.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science Karen Trchunyan took part in the opening of the exhibition. He checked the pavilions of educational institutions and organizations, got acquainted with their new products and upcoming programs.The Deputy Minister noted that such exhibitions have an important role in terms of presenting the existing capabilities of these institutions and identifying ways of their cooperation.

“The majority of schoolchildren and students have not yet decided on the choice of a profession and such exhibitions will help them understand what opportunities there are for obtaining and continuing high-quality education in Armenia at the bachelor's, master's and postgraduate levels.  For the development of science and innovation, it is necessary that people first of all have a desire to engage in science, use the knowledge gained and apply the results, for the good of the country.», - Deputy Minister said, noting that in spite of the epidemic, as compared to previous years, some progress has been made in the halls. Karen Trchunyan, in particular, highlighted interesting approaches and solutions presented in many pavilions, expressing the hope that they will be used for the benefit of Armenia's development.

“Of course, there is still a lot to be done, but with the help of such exhibitions, we must try to draw the attention of our society to education, science and career growth”, - The Deputy Minister of Education and Science said.

According to Artur Israelian, YSU Vice-Rector for Public Relations and International Cooperation, YSU will speak for three days within the framework of the exhibition. “We devoted the first day to natural sciences. Students can get acquainted with interesting experiments put by students of the faculties of physics, chemistry and biology.An exhibition of the social sciences block will take place tomorrow, and we devoted the third day to the international activities of the university so that future applicants could orient themselves in their choice of profession and find out how they can get an education abroad.».

“At the exhibition, the Armenian State University of Economics presents its new bachelor's and master's programs, which we have been implementing since last year together with employers. It interested a lot of master students », - Aghavni said Hakobyan, Head of the University Department of Education extended, introducing visitors to the arrival process and the competitive capabilities of the University.

For three days, students and applicants were able to get the full information about the educational system of Armenia to get acquainted with the services of secondary, primary, secondary and higher education institutions, as well as the professions most in demand in the labor market.

The exhibition contributed to the establishment of business relations between educational institutions and enterprises, the establishment of contacts between job seekers and employers, as well as the presentation of new educational programs for public, private and non-governmental organizations.

The exhibition was open to visitors from April 29 to 30.
